Synesis provides IT service for the 2nd European Games in Minsk

The second edition of the European Games has been officially opened in the Belarusian capital Minsk. Synesis Group is proud to be an official provider of software and technology part for the large-scale sports event. Under the terms of the contract, which was signed with the Organising Committee just a year ago, Synesis developed six IT services to cover different aspects of the 2nd European Games 2019.

Sports&infrastructure side: Games management platform, mobile apps, chatbots
The flagship service for the Games 2019 is LOOM Event Management System – invisible platform, designed for automation of all the event’s processes. It consists of 15 modules, including accreditation, accommodation, human resources, and arrivals&departures. The Olympic-standard system will help the Games’ Directorate to provide a flawless organization of international event both for athletes and spectators.
Unified dashboard, full-service integration, on-demand delivery from a cloud, integrated messenger with chatbots, GDPR compliance – that are the main features that distinguish LOOM from competing platforms, used, for example, for the 1st European Games in Baku.

“Being such a complex, functional, multi-sport event as the second European Games are, it sets certain goals that might be achieved according to modern standards,” said Minsk 2019 chief executive George Katulin concerning technological part of the Games. “It also involves the processes of coordination of the various departments and areas of work of MEGOC (Minsk 2019 European Games Organising Committee). It should be done according to the rules of the relevant International Federations”.

Among other IT services is Minsk2019.by Website (Games’ official Web-site), Minsk 2019 mobile app (a guide to the main sport events), 3D visualizations for the venues (360-degree virtual panorama of the venues), ChatEG multiplatform messenger, and a Lesik chatbot. Also covered Intranet, reprography, the organisation and functioning of the central technical operations, and the functioning of internet services. Software services for each of the aspects were created by a separate team of developers and consultants with experience of engagement into such globe-scale events as the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Public safety side: Kipod Smart City platform
Public safety is another important element of any mass event. During the Games safety would be managed by authorities with Synesis’ state-of-the-art Kipod Smart City platform, based on advanced technologies in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. Kipod is a carrier-grade solution for Smart Cities and Public Security, which enables instant search across the big data of CCTV video. Real-time crime and threat detection, traffic analysis, vehicle and people identification, behavior and audio analytics: Kipod promises the highest level of safety during the event.
The 2nd European Games run through June 30 and feature 3,667 athletes from 50 countries. Twelve venues with huge infrastructure will welcome spectators. In total, 375,000 tickets across the 200 events were put up for sale. All that about IT-services relies on solutions from Synesis Group.
